Your bio

About 30 words, for your digital business card or a social profile.

Before you publish: include your brokerage's name and the license details your state requires, and keep only claims you can back up with your own numbers.

Fair Housing: describe yourself, your listings and the area, not the people you want to work with. Our guide to Fair Housing in agent marketing explains why.

What makes a good agent bio

A seller reads your bio before deciding who to invite to a listing presentation. They want to know if you sell homes like theirs, in their neighborhood, whether you can show it, and what you'll be like to work with. So name your neighborhoods, give one fact you can back up, say how you work, and add one line that sounds like you. Leave out "number one" and "top agent" unless you can say who measured it.

Use each length where it fits. The short bio goes on your digital business card and your social profiles. The medium one suits your Zillow, Realtor.com and brokerage profiles, which often limit how much you can write. The long one belongs on the about page of your own website, where a seller checking you out will read every word.

This tool puts sentences together from what you type, so read your bio aloud and change anything that doesn't sound like you. For more examples, see real estate agent bio examples.

This tool is general information, not legal advice. It doesn't check your details against any license record.
