Privacy policy
Real Agent Marketing (ABN [YOUR ABN]) ("we", "us") provides websites, domains, digital business cards and online marketing for real estate agents. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
From agents who use the platform
- Account details: you sign in with Google, so we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We don't receive or store your Google password.
- Your brief: your name, contact details, licence details, agency, ABN, suburbs, services, the facts you choose to publish, your bio and branding choices.
- Listings and content: the listings and website copy you add or approve.
- Domain registration details: the registrant details required to register a domain, including your name, address, phone, email and ABN.
From people who visit an agent's website
If an agent connects Google Analytics, their website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see how people find it. Google processes this information for the agent under Google's own privacy policy. Agents' websites don't use advertising cookies.
From people who contact an agent
When someone sends an enquiry through an agent's website or digital card, we collect the details they enter (such as name, email, phone and message) and pass them to that agent. We handle this information on the agent's behalf so they can respond.
From people who contact us
When you use our contact form or join our waitlist, we collect your name, email, and any phone, agency, suburb and message details you provide.
Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as IP addresses and browser types to keep the service secure and running. We use a cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies on this website.
How we use information
- to create and publish your website and digital business card
- to register and manage domains you ask us to register
- to deliver enquiries to the agent they were sent to
- to reply to messages you send us, and to send waitlist invites
- to send account emails such as invites and enquiry alerts
- to bill paid plans
- to operate, secure and improve our service
- to meet our legal obligations
Information you choose to publish on your website, such as your name, photo, phone number and listings, is public by design.
Google Search Console and Google Analytics
Connecting Search Console and Google Analytics is optional and separate from signing in. If you connect them, you give us permission, through Google, to:
- verify that you own your website and add it to your Search Console, and submit its sitemap
- create a Google Analytics property and web stream for your website in your Analytics account, and add its tracking tag to your site
- read your site's Search Console and Analytics reports so we can show you a summary in your dashboard
We store the access Google gives us in encrypted form and use it only for these purposes, for you. We don't use Google user data for advertising, we don't sell it or share it with anyone else, and we don't use it to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect at any time from the Search & analytics page in your dashboard, or remove our access in your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Your Search Console and Analytics data stay in your own Google account.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run the platform. They only receive what they need to provide their service:
- Cloudflare hosts our platform and agent websites and stores our data.
- Stripe processes subscription payments. We never see or store your full card details.
- Hostinger registers domains and hosts our email. Registrant details are also provided to the relevant domain registry, such as auDA for .au domains, as registration rules require.
- Anthropic provides the AI model that drafts website copy from your brief. It receives your brief, never your Google data.
- Google provides sign-in, and Search Console and Analytics if you connect them.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We don't sell personal information.
Keeping it secure
We protect information with encryption in transit, Google sign-in, encrypted storage of Google access, single-use links, access controls and rate limits, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
Access, correction and deletion
You can view and update most of your information in your dashboard. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, email hello@realagent.marketing.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We'll update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
